Preparing For Your Puppy

What to Expect to Purchase When You’re Expecting (a new puppy)

Here’s our recommended new puppy shopping list. The only required item is food — we want your puppy’s diet consistent when they transition home. Everything else is optional and should fit your household. We do not profit from anything listed — we’re simply sharing what works for us. If you have questions, ask anytime.

Food & Feeding Setup (Required)

Food

We feed Fromm Duck A La Veg. Basenjis can be sensitive to diet changes, so we strongly recommend keeping your puppy on this food initially and transitioning slowly (7–10 days) if you choose to switch later.
